A remote cabin on a beautiful, uninhabited Michigan island...a woman alone, secluding herself for the weekend to finish her novel. The first rainy night, she is startled by a knock at her door. A man looms on her porch, desperate, bloodied – he needs help. She is frightened.
Who is he? He says he doesn’t know. Great patches of his memory have been erased by a vicious blow to his head. The woman eventually takes him in, tends to his wounds...they talk. A connection begins; they discover each other as they try to uncover his true identity.

She seems to be falling for him...but slowly, his memories resurface, in flashes and starts. And the most bone-chilling image is this: he remembers her. Attacking him. He knows this woman...and she knows him. She’s been lying to him – hiding his own identity from him. But as the story unfolds, we will never be sure who is more dangerous.
Did he, in fact, attack her first? Was she merely defending herself? And does he truly have amnesia, or is he faking it to complete a grisly murder? In the 24 hours before a Ferry arrives, the two will be locked in a thrilling and deadly game of hunter and hunted, as the island gives them no place to run, and no place to hide.
